Why do cool shows get canceled?

Sad news dear readers. As some of you might know, ‘Heroes’ has been canceled and without a finale btw. In addition to that, ‘Flashforward’, an ABC channel newbie, has also been canceled. Total heartbreak!

I just amazes me that crappy shows like ‘How I met your Mother’ can stay on the air and a slew of reality TV shows murder good sci-fi shows. I guess it just proves people don’t really want to think when they’re watching TV. What happened to the good ol’ days when shows like ‘The X-files’ were unstoppable?

I guess we could say that after four seasons on NBC, Heroes just lost steam with less than 5 million viewers watching last season, however that really valid enough to just pull the plug on an extremely popular show w/o a finale. At least give a good show a proper burial. Instead of running Heroes, NBC picks up more Law and Order shows; SVU and Los Angeles. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some SVU but we don’t need more crime dramas on one network.

Flashforward had great potential but after taking a four month hiatus after its premiere,  the fans found other things to watch.Parting is such sweet sorrow. Hopefully the fall line up proves me wrong.

Lindsay Lohan Dumped from movie

Yahoo news reports Lindsay Lohan was dropped from the movie ‘The Other Side’, set to start filming this month. Writer/director of the film David Michaels, politely said, that they were just interested in moving on from Lohan. Sourcing also say that fininical backers for the Flick, supposedly featuring musician Dave Matthews, Wood Harrelson, singer Alanis Morrisette, and the late Britney Murray, felt Lohan was a risk because she is no longer bankable…ouch! I guess the Mean Girls star’s 15 minutes is up! Lohan has not been featured in a movie since 2007 “I know who killed me”, which tanked at the box office. 

Lindsay doesn’t really need another movie, she really needs a nap(for like 3 months) and some shampoo because the 23 year old starlet looks like she’s seen better days.

Kate Gosselin dances like a BRICK!

Kate Gosselin, Jon and Kate plus 8 star and most recent cast off of Dancing with the Stars, said on Live with Regis and Kelly, “That she was relieved to hear to the elimination news”

Most people don’t like to hear that they’ve been dumped but, I bet she was because homegirl dances like a brick. Her rumba during week 3 was a train wreck. Kate said during the show, her guard was up and that the issues with custody battle bogged down her performances. Although Gosselin improved during the week 4 tango, she still didn’t open up in time. She nails most of the technical moves, however lacks the actually dancing part. It was really sad to watch and makes you wonder, “how could a woman that birthed 8 children, have no rhythm at all?” When i told my sister Kate couldn’t dance, she said, “it must have been a real bitch making all of those kids with no moves…lol”

But on a serious note, Kate needs to just cool it on the TV shows and just go to the Bahamas after her custody trial, hell give Jon all 8 of those kids and just start over. Kate likely thought the DWTS would boost her public image, when all it really did was make her seem even more crazy and uptight. Even Louis Van Amstel, DWTS’ pro, said that home girl needed to see a psychologist instead of doing another reality TV show but showed great promise.

I guess it is tough when your competing with Baywatch babe, Pam Anderson and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussy Cat Dolls.

One foot in the ‘Rock of Love’ grave…

Brett Michaels, former front man of Poison and Mr. Rock of Love, suffered a brain hemorrhage April 23, and is now in critical condition.

The 47 year old rocker complained of a severe headache the afternoon of, and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital overnight. According to the L.A. Times, doctors diagnosed a massive sub-arachnoid hemorrhage, or bleeding at the base of his brain stem. Michaels will be monitored for the next 48 hours to ensure the hemorrhaging has subsided.

The recent hospital drama isn’t the only health issues the Donald Trump Celebrity Apprentice star has suffered. Just last month, Michaels was taken to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy, which he recovered from. Michaels has also had diabetes since childhood.

Pull through Brett, we want to see a Rock of Love 5, or whatever number you’re on now.

Actress Brittany Murphy Dies

OMG! Brittany Murphy is dead. According to Yahoo News, Murphy reported flu-like symptoms days before her death. The actress’ husband Simon MonJack,a British screenwriter, tried to wake her Sunday morning after she collapsed at home. Paramedics were called to resuscitate Murphy. The 32 year old actress was pronounced died after a half hour.

For those that don’t remember her, Murphy starred alongside Alicia Silverstone in Clueless , 8 Mile with rapper Eminem, and Just Married with Ashton Kutcher. Murphy was also featured in Girl Interrupted, Sin City, and was the voice of Luanne Platter, Hank Hill’s niece on animated series King of the Hill.

2009 has not been a good year for celebs. This year alone we have also lost, Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, and Natasha Richardson.

Autopsy reports done this morning are pending and it will be several weeks before a death will be confirmed. However, Ed Winter,Assistant Chief Coroner, said it appeared Murphy died of natural causes.
